Daniel was a devoted father who loved coaching his son's Little League team, reading bedtime stories to his daughter, and taking his family on weekend camping trips.

As a son, Daniel was the pride and joy of his parents—always checking in, always helping out, and always making them laugh with his quick wit and gentle humor. He was an avid hiker, a passionate photographer, and a volunteer at the local animal shelter. He loved cooking, playing guitar, and spending time with his extended family.

Daniel is survived by his wife Emily; his children Lucas and Sophia; his parents Robert and Patricia Thompson; his sister Jennifer (Mark) Davis; his grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Thompson.

A celebration of Daniel's life will be held on October 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Portland Community Church, 789 Oak Avenue, Portland, OR. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Portland Animal Shelter, a cause Daniel cared deeply about.

Daniel's kindness, his love for his family, and his zest for life will be deeply missed. He was our son, our brother, our friend, and our hero. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever.

Christopher "Chris" Michael Anderson
June 8, 2002 – September 12, 2023
San Diego, California

Christopher "Chris" Michael Anderson, 21, of San Diego, California, passed away on September 12, 2023, after a courageous battle with illness. Born in San Diego to Michael and Linda Anderson, Chris was a beloved son, brother, and friend who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Chris was a student at San Diego State University, studying marine biology—a field he was passionate about since childhood. He loved surfing, scuba diving, and volunteering at the local aquarium. He was known for his infectious smile, his kind heart, and his ability to make friends wherever he went.

Chris is survived by his parents Michael and Linda; his sister Jessica; his grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held on September 20, 2023, at 3:00 PM at San Diego Beach Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the San Diego Aquarium's Marine Conservation Program.

Ethan Matthew Wilson, our precious little boy, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2023, at the age of 5, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 20, 2018, in Austin, Texas, to David and Sarah Wilson, Ethan was a bright, curious, and joyful child who brought endless happiness to our lives.

Ethan loved dinosaurs, building with LEGOs, playing at the park, and reading bedtime stories with his parents. He had a contagious laugh, a big heart, and a love for everyone he met. He was a loving big brother to his baby sister, Emma, and a cherished grandson, nephew, and friend.

Ethan is survived by his parents David and Sarah Wilson; his sister Emma; his grandparents; his aunts, uncles, and cousins; and all who were blessed to know him. A private family service will be held in his honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Children's Hospital of Austin, where Ethan received compassionate care. We are grateful for the love and support of our family and friends during this difficult time.
